Virginia Lee Beightler-Beasley, 89, passed from this life to the next on January 10, 2021 in Chino Valley, Arizona. She was devoted to her family and to her firm believe in God, all of which supported her in her long life.
Virginia was born to Harry Percy and Dorothy Aleena (Strebin) Putnam on July 18, 1931 in Danville, Illinois. She grew up and attended the schools in Danville, IL and Marshall, IN. Virginia married her husband, Paul Barnes Beightler on June 20, 1949 and together they raised their three daughters.
Virginia was a helper at heart. She loved to dance and to read and she was not afraid to have fun. Virginia really enjoyed holiday baking with her daughters and, later, her granddaughters. She enjoyed traveling the globe visiting Israel, Germany, and China with her good friend Marlis Shamblin and she traveled throughout the US with her family, as well.
Virginia is survived by her daughters Cathy (Jim) Cooke and Theresa Marsh of Chino Valley, Arizona and Sarah (Paul) Jackson of Vancouver, Washington; her grandchildren Jeremy Lambert, Christopher Cooke, Erin Cooke, Larissa Straily, and Daniel (Amanda) Straily; her great grandchildren Andrea Rainey, Leslie Lambert, Jayden Lambert, Bailey Lambert, and Jaxon Straily; and her brothers Raymond (Helen) Putnam and John Putnam. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, her sister Margery Putnam, and her brothers Gordon Putnam and Ross Putnam.
At her request, there will be no memorial service. She will be laid to rest alongside Paul at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
