Roy A. Abbott was born may 20th, 1949. He lived in Ohio until the age of 13, where he journeyed to Florence AZ. Once old enough he started his police career as a dispatcher. He then was drafted into the Army where he spent two years servicing and being part of the Vietnam war. Upon return he then entered the Department of Public Service academy. In 1982 he had earned a promotion to Sergeant until his retirement in 1992 as Admin Sergeant. After that he was appointed by the town of Chino Valley as their Magistrate where he worked until he retired in 2005. To keep busy he picked up several habits from gardening to serving as a chaplin for the American legion as well as past master for the Williams Masonic Lodge. And last but certainly not least over 25 years he had a passion and love for providing smiles each year to ones young and old being Santa.
He is survived by: Kimberley Abbott (wife); Colleen Sewell (Daughter); Jennifer Domina (Daughter); Katrina Hickenbottom (Daughter); Michael Taylor (Step-Son); eleven Grandkids and three Great Grandkids
