Edward Anthony Fierro Jr. (80) of Chino Valley, Arizona, passed away on September 04, 2020, in his home, surrounded by family, after a long illness.
Edward was born on December 02, 1939, in New York, New York, to Edward and Angelina (Verzillo) Fierro.
In Edward’s early years, he graduated from Neutrik High School in 1958. Edward then joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country from 1958 until 1962 and was recognized with two Good Conduct medals. He was stationed in Japan and the Philippines. After serving his country, he went on to earn Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Biology from William Penn University in Iowa. He earned a Master’s degree in History from the University of South Dakota, a Master’s degree in School Administration and Higher Education from California State University, Northridge, and Legal Degrees from the University of West Los Angeles.
Edward married the love of his life, Evelyn (Steele) on August 19, 1967, and they were married fifty-three years. They moved to Southern California in 1974, where they raised their three children.
Edward worked as a Probate and Estate Planning Administrator in Beverly Hills for thirty years and upon his retirement, they settled in Chino Valley, Arizona.
Edward was a hard-working and intelligent man who had a beautiful way with words. He was a mentor to anyone who was willing to learn. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Angelina, his brother, Luis, and sister, Connie. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, daughter, Angela and husband Randy, son Edward III and wife Ruby, daughter Jean-Marie and husband Ronnie. He also had eight grandchildren: Gabriel, Bradley, Seth, Shaylyn, Edward IV, Jayden, Addisyn, and Harper. He is also survived by his brother, John and wife Joan, sisters Marie and Jeannie, sister-in-law, Rebecca and many nieces and nephews.
Edward will be laid to rest on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at nine thirty in the morning. The Patriot Guard Riders will escort the procession. Military honors and graveside services will be held at the Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, located at 14317 Veterans Drive, Bellemont, Arizona 86015.
