Life History:
Born in 1931 In Florida. Leigh was an only child  loved & spoiled by her Mother, grandfather & Aunts & Uncles. She was raised with strong faith & continued to attend & be involved in church throughout her life. She was truly Blessed with 2 great marriages. Leigh met & married her first husband  Bob at the age of 17 after only dating 21 days.  They were married 43 years when he went home to be with our Lord. They were active in many charitable organizations & churches together throughout their marriage. They loved to go dancing! Often clearing the dance floors they danced so well together. They did not have family living close so they built a network of strong friendships that became our extended family. After they moved into a retirement park mom went on to tap dance, clog & linedance with the ladies there.
She was later reintroduced to her best friend's brother Lyle, who was also widowed, They fell in love &  married in 2000.  Their marriage exemplified a true partnership & friendship!  They were together just 4 months shy of 20 years when Lyle went home to Heaven too..
Leigh was a Feisty, Strong-willed, Loving , Caring, person. A Nurturing Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother. Her grand & great grandchildren were such a Joy to her!! She Loved to Cook & entertain. One of her greatest joys was having company to fuss over & feed. She was a homemaker for a great portion of her life. She loved making her home welcoming, comfortable & beautiful for her husbands', Her family. & all who entered. She was Blessed with many long time friendships & she cherished them! Leigh was a member of many Ladies organizations including Red Hat Society, DOC, Daughters of the British Empire, & The VFW Auxiliary & volunteering at their church.
